How do I download from and post to Usenet newsgroups?
Giganews' Usenet access service is accessed through software called a "news client". This software may also be referred to as a news reader or Usenet client.
News clients work similar to email clients; however, instead of folders where people send you email, you'll be viewing messages in and sending messages to folders where everyone on Usenet can access.
Just like email, you'll be able to sort and search the articles in each newsgroup by subject line, author, etc. When you find an article you want to read or download, you select the article in your news client and the content is automatically downloaded for viewing.
In the next section we detail various news clients, how to configure a news client, and how to use news clients to effectively download from and post to newsgroups. Microsoft Outlook Express is a free news client which may already be installed on your computer
