Usenet Spam

Usenet Spam typically refers to posts consisting of commercial advertising; however, certain types of abusive posts designed to disrupt newsgroups are also referred to as spam such as sporge or flame posts. Spam can often times be defeated by using the built-in features of many news clients. Usenet service providers can also work to restrict spam on their servers.
