Articles

Articles in reference to Usenet are any individual messages contained in a newsgroup discussion. Articles make up all of the content available on Usenet. Articles are not necessarily the same as posts, although the terms are often used interchangeably. This is especially the case in binary newsgroups. A file might be represented as a single post in a binary newsgroup, but the post may consist of many individual articles. In text newsgroups, every post consists of only one article, making the distinction less apparent.

Giganews offers the world's highest quality Usenet retention for text and binary newsgroup articles, which amounts to millions of overall articles.
