Learn More About VyprVPN for Windows

  • How to view your IP address

VyprVPN displays two different IP addresses depending on whether you are connected to a VyprVPN server or not. When you are not connected to VyprVPN, the app displays your public IP address at the bottom of the screen. This public IP address is not protected by VyprVPN. Once you enable your VPN connection, the app will display your VyprVPN IP address. This is the secured IP address granted to your VPN connection by the VyprVPN server.

Kill Switch will make a best effort attempt to define your Local LAN's scope based on the IP addressing of your currently active network interfaces. These definitions will be updated when network change events have been detected (ie: new WiFi hotspot connected, physical network cable plugged in).

If you do not have Kill Switch enabled on the System level, then it is likely that you are unable to access the Internet for other reasons unrelated to VyprVPN services. You may contact our Support team to help troubleshoot the problem if needed.
