How to Connect to WebDAV
- Click the Start button and select Computer
- In the toolbar at the top of the window, select Map Network Drive
- Enter the WebDAV address:
https://dav.dumptruck.goldenfrog.com/r/giganews.com
- Check Reconnect at logon
- Click Connect using a different user name
- Enter your Giganews username and password
- Click OK
- Click Finish
- Now you should see WebDAV directory for your Giganews account. You can access it under Computer > Network Location
Note: You may need to download a patch for WebDAV to work correctly
Additional Settings
Improve upload and download speed
- Open the Control Panel
- Click on Network and Internet
- Click on Internet Options
- Click on the Connections tab
- Click the LAN Settings button
- Uncheck Automatically detect settings
- Click OK
- Click OK
Download files larger than 50MB
In a security update, Microsoft limited the size of files that may be downloaded from remote folders to 50MB. To increase this, you must change a registry setting.
- Download FileSizeLimit.reg
- Double click on FileSizeLimit.reg
- If necessary, allow Registry Editor to run
- Click the Yes button to allow the changes to be made
- Click OK
- Reboot your computer
